Why does the real estate industry think that all Real Estate agents should charge the same regardless of experience and competency? By Peter Hernandez, Teles Properties

What other industry thinks that a college graduate’s first job should pay the same as a seasoned and experienced veteran?

Why should a Realtor straight out of real estate license school feel entitled to charge the same fee as a twenty year professional that has done hundreds of transactions?

Why should a consumer be placed with a brand new agent at full fee by a traditional real estate firm? Shouldn’t the client receive more since it is probably one of the largest transactions one makes?

Shouldn’t fees be based on results? Competency? Shouldn’t the market be more discerning in the same way other professions are treated?

At Teles Properties (www.telesproperties.com), we think you should have an experienced and competent agent. We have strict hiring standards because we feel bigger is not better but better is better. At Teles we don’t think the consumer should pay the price while agents learn on the job. We think you deserve more. Our company is founded on the belief that we will only hire and keep competent and ethical agents.
